Disc-lock safety nuts
	The Disc-lock wheel Nut is a free spinning vibration proof wheel nut which is considered to be far superior in terms of safety than conventional wheel nuts. It comprises of three pieces, each one with interlocking cams which are joined together to form one assembly. When subjected to road shock and vibration the interlocking cams of the Disclock rise against each other further locking the assembly, eliminating the possibility of the nut ever coming loose. The nut is installed in the same way as conventional nuts using the recommended torques. For removal the socket is placed over the hexagon nut and the hexagon flanged washer and then loosened.

Wheel nut safety - ric clips
	The Ric Clip security system is fitted ove adjacent wheel nuts: 5 clips being required on a 10 stud hub. It is inexpensive and no special fitting tools are required. It is fitted over the nuts and locked by hand or with a pair of pliers. It takes only minutes to fit and axle set of RIC CLIPs and is available to fit all standard wheel nut fixings. Figure 1. Clip shown as received. (Shape may vary). The locking arms are opened by holding at A and B and pulling in the direction of the arrows. This increases the inside diameter of the spring coils, allowing the clip to be fitted over the wheel nuts. Figure 2. Clip pushed over adjacent wheel nuts and locking arms released. This provides anti-clockwise resistance to nut rotation. (Clockwise for left hand nuts). Figure 3. The locking arms are now locked over each other by hand or with pliers. This wraps the spring coils tightly round the nuts providing full anti-clockwise resistance to nut rotation. (Clockwise for left hand nuts). The RIC CLIP is intended to stop nut rotation in service and to damp out any vibration frequency in the nut/stud. WHen fitted, any attempted loosening rotation of the wheel nuts actually increases the locking action of the RIC CLIP.

Wheel nut safety - safety link
	Safety Link is a simple mechanical device injection moulded in high impact polyproplyene. The unit is immensely strong and is designed to fit over a wheel nut and interlink via a snap fit to the adjacent unit. When all ten Safety Link units are correctly fitted they form a ring securing all ten wheel nuts. Safety Link has been designed to fulfill two very important functions. Regular inspection and diligent maintenance procedures are an essential ingredient for safe and reliable operation of commercial vehicles; the fitting of Safety Link units will encourage daily inspection. Any movement of a wheel nut will be clearly evident via visual inspection allowing immediate remedial action. In the event of a wheel nut coming loose during a long journey resulting from poor or non existent inspection Safety Link will lock the wheel nut in place after 7 degrees of movement thus preventing wheel nut loss and the potential loss of a wheel.
